Making Television Better.
How does one make television, the ultimate medium, even better? In a word – collaboration. It takes a whole industry to achieve this goal. It’s an important undertaking for networks, distributors, viewers and marketers. And a pivotal moment for television itself.
Canoe’s national advanced television platform offers networks and their advertisers the opportunity to make the most of television’s powerful innovations. There is no finish line in this work as technology continuously expands television’s boundaries ever farther.
We work collaboratively to set new standards for the industry today and continue to drive the technologies and business solutions of better television tomorrow. As we journey to the future of television, we ignite new business opportunities along the way. To do these things, Canoe has established a number of collaborative forums.
Canoe’s Advisory Board is comprised of top minds in business, marketing and media, representing a broad cross section of experience and perspectives that include chief marketing officers of leading national brands, thought leaders from the agency community, award winning creative gurus and data analytics experts. Each member has become a part of Canoe because of their belief in the unparalleled importance of television.
More than a collection of advisors, Canoe’s Advisory Board is a working body that is helping to shape the future of television through their collaboration with Canoe and their own singular contributions in marketing, media and advertising. Insights derived from the Board help inform Canoe’s product development and go-to-market strategies, and the members provide invaluable support for marketplace-catalyzing research and pioneering campaigns.
In collaboration with the Association of National Advertisers (ANA), Canoe studies how the Connection, Emotion and Experience of advanced television solutions, including interactive television (ITV), relate to the Measurement, Efficiency and Engagement advertisers seek. Coined CEE MEE, the effort collects insights from a proprietary online panel of TV enthusiasts whose reactions to various advanced television experiences are evaluated. The participants in the CEE MEE panel also give opinions on media consumption, technology and other issues in surveys, discussion boards, blogs and live chats.
The Innovation Exchange Program (IExP) is collaborative environment, a place for the exchange of ideas and information within the advanced television ecosystem. Members represent technology companies, programming networks, and advertising agencies who are focused on designing new capabilities and opportunities on television. Members share insights on emerging technologies, new products, and testing; and they discuss business models for creating value based on new solutions that hold potential for national scale. Members are committed to actively engaging with each other in a collaborative, information-sharing information atmosphere.
Canoe’s Innovation Lab is an environment available to technology developers. The lab offers the expertise, technology and space to evaluate advanced television applications for potential use on Canoe’s national platform. It is different from other industry collaborative labs in that it takes a more pragmatic approach with singular focus on third-party advanced television solutions that may be enabled by Canoe.
